A lot has changed since our early days and our team just keeps growing. Jenny and Janice have been with us for well over two years now. Can you believe it?
The business has grown and changed significantly in this time. We also welcomed Melinda last September to help us keep up with the demand, almost a year ago. Melinda is both a Registered Nurse and fully qualified Beauty Therapist and is proving a hit with our clients.
The exciting news is that with Melinda on board we are now open Saturdays. Yes, finally.
And you wouldn’t have made it past the door without meeting Jeff, our new Clinic Coordinator, who is an encyclopedia of information and provides plenty of entertainment.

| Be hair free for summer!

Summer is just around the corner and if you’ve been thinking about laser hair removal then now is the time to start if you want to be hair free for summer.
Laser hair removal is the most effective method of providing permanent or long-lasting hair reduction, and is faster and less painful than other techniques. We use the Lightsheer diode laser, one of the most effective lasers on the market – much more effective than IPL.
Effective treatment only occurs within the hair’s active growth phase, with only 25-30% of hairs being in the growth phase at any one time, and therefore several treatments are necessary. On average 4-6 treatments are necessary for optimal results, with the treatments spaced 6 weeks apart, so a minimum period of 4 months is necessary for effective hair reduction.
Lasers gently remove unwanted hair based on the principle of selective photothermolysis. This refers to the process whereby light energy causes thermal injury to the hair follicle. The light penetrates through the skin and is absorbed in the target pigment (melanin) found in the hair shaft. This energy absorbed in the shaft causes the temperature to reach a sufficiently high level in the hair follicle so that the targeted hair structures are destroyed and the regrowth is inhibited.
